# Welcome

> What World Asset Register is and how this manual is organised

World Asset Register is a single, always-current register of everything
your organisation owns. Every laptop, vehicle, machine, licence and lease,
with the people, places, policies and paperwork attached to it.

This manual walks through every part of the product in the order a new
team usually meets it:

1. **Getting started**: sign in, set up your organisation, add your first
   assets and invite your team.
2. **Assets**: the register itself. Finding things, asset detail pages,
   importing data in bulk, bulk editing and change requests.
3. **Organisation setup**: shape the register around your organisation.
   Categories, custom fields, locations, people, roles and settings.
4. **Day-to-day operations**: policies that watch your data for you,
   reports, maintenance, procurement and the audit trail.
5. **AI & integrations**: the built-in AI assistant, accounting and device
   integrations, and the developer platform.
6. **Account & billing**: plans, limits and payment.
